A stroll along the main street reveals some historic buildings.

Pop into one of the pubs to enjoy a cold drink with the locals.

Or get lost among the old wares.

Laidley has a weekly Country Market in the main street.

There is also a larger Monthly Market.

The markets offer a wide range of local produce, craft, baked fare, jams etc.

Check with Branell Homestead to find out when the markets are on.

There is something for everyone in Laidley.

Further afield you will find many kilometers of country roads to explore.

Other towns you can explore include Gatton, Forest Hill, Grantham, Helidon, Withcott, Plainland, Mulgowie and Thornton.

There is a thriving arts community in the Lockyer Valley. Browsing the galleries may result in finding that perfect addition to your home.

NAME A TREE AT BRANELL HOMESTEAD TO HELP PEOPLE WITH CANCER

Branell Homestead gives out free gift vouchers to people living with a serious illness such as cancer. Branell Homestead pays for all of the accommodation and breakfast costs involved. We would also like to be able to provide the guests with other free services such as complimentary massages, manicures, pedicures, facials or a free evening meal at a one of our local restaurants or cafes. If you would like to help, you could name one of the trees on our property for just $25 and your money will go towards paying for a massage, a beauty treatment or a free evening meal. A plaque will be made up with the name of your tree and a short message and then it will be attached to one of the many trees on our 80 acre property. We also give some of the money to a worthy charity with a similar goal, such as Camp Quality.

If you would like to name a tree, simply send us a message via the 'Contact' page of this website requesting a Name a Tree form to be e-mailed to you. Alternatively, you can call us on (07) 5465 1788 and we can send a form out to you in the post.
